2D Seismic Data Acquisition on Onshore Black Sea
Merty Energy signed a contract with Zeta Petroleum Ltd to acquire up to 300km of 2D seismic data on the Sakarya and Düzce licences at onshore Black Sea. Our seismic crew has started the shoots of seismic data acquisition.
Merty Energy Seismic-1 Crew at Northern Iraq
Our Seismic-1 Crew will begin 2D seismic data acquisition survey for PETOIL in Bana Bavu, Northern Iraq. Survey area is located at northeastern of Hawler (Erbil) City and Merty Energy performed a detailed geological field study in this area in 2005.
3D Seismic Survey in Edirne Licence

Batı Umur - 1 Completed As Gas Production Well
• Following the completion of Koyustu - 1 gas discovery well, the rig was moved to Bati Umur - 1 for workover operations. After swab tests and perforation of the main gas intervals, flow tests were performed and the result is success. Batı Umur -1 can produce 80.000 cubic meter natural gas per day. Bati Umur-1 was drilled by the joint venture companies in December 2005 and several potential gas zones were identified on wireline logs, but swab tests and workover operations were not able to carry out last year due to strong weather conditions and lack of swab equipment in the rig. Batı Umur prospect is located in the Edirne License AR/EEP-PMI-PTK-MER/3839 in which Merty Energy is the operator company. Click here for pictures.
